It’s time to move forward. Crawling counts. Tiny, trembling first steps count. Wheeling yourself forward an inch? That also counts. Your speed, the space you cover, or how far you go today are the things that don’t matter. The only thing that does? That you simply began to do the thing. Your momentum will grow once you get going. You’ll see.

Once you stop fearing the storm, you’ll realize that you ARE the storm. Your tears are the rain. Your outcries are the thunder. Your actions are the lightning. You are a force of nature.

Failure? Pffft. You could fail a zillion times and you’d still be an extremely important part of this world. Failing is only learning in disguise — and the more you learn, the more you grow and the more wisdom and valuable stuff gets drawn into your life. Keep leveling up.

If the future looks scary right now, don’t live in it. You can’t just unpack your bags and stay in a place that doesn’t yet exist. You own only this moment, and what you do with the right now is what helps shape tomorrow. Take it five minutes at a time (or five seconds if you need to) and get yourself through each moment.

The world is lucky to have you. Not even kidding. The perfect arrangement of atoms, cells and molecules that make up the whole of you only happens once. How amazing is THAT? How amazing are YOU?

So, you have a voice in your head saying you’re not enough, do you? Well… that’s not YOUR voice. Maybe it’s your anxiety or depression talking. Maybe it’s the words of the first kid who bullied you in the 2nd grade or your 7th grade PE teacher. Maybe it’s the voice of family trauma. But it IS NOT you. It is a lie. You are enough, my friend.

You belong. You really belong here. Living, eating, dreaming and doing… it is all created for you so that you can make your own special mark on the world.

There is more information out there than anyone can learn in a lifetime. You could learn something (or even several somethings) new every day, and there would still be stuff you didn’t know. Still, the passionately curious are winners, because gobbling up knowledge leads to new ideas and ways to do things. It doesn’t matter if your interest is birds, bees, or hydrodynamics. Maybe you dig geology, genealogy, or giraffes. When you get your noodle interested in something, chase it and the knowledge it brings into your life. You never know where that will take you… but you can bet your curiosity will bring you closer to joy and true success.

You can’t learn without making mistakes. You have to gloriously screw up a few times in order to level up. Success doesn’t come from giving up, it comes from messing up until you get it right. So, forgive yourself, learn, understand that it’s a process, and even if it takes 101 tries, don’t you dare give up after 99.

Our aspirations are worth fighting for. No matter the obstacles standing in your way, the setbacks, and the judgements from other people, when you truly desire to attain a goal those things aren’t worth fretting over. Keep going after your dreams.

You might not be where you thought you’d be at this point in your life. But, what if you actually are exactly where you are meant to be? Not that you are doomed to some inescapable fate, but that you’re growing and learning at the exact right pace for your soul. That means that you have to be right here, right now, going through this to get to the good stuff.

One of the hardest things to deal with on this life journey is the realization that you don’t really know “who” you are. You may know what you like and dislike, who you love, and what drives your soul, but struggle with defining yourself in a single phrase or sentence. Here’s the truth: you are beyond words. You are ever changing, constantly evolving into someone new. You are not a stationary object so you can’t be pinpointed to one version of yourself. You are growing every day and you are astonishing.
