Throwing around blame during a crisis is a lot like throwing water on an oil fire — it doesn’t help and can actually add fuel to the fire. Rather than spending energy deciding who is to blame for a problem, use that kinetic energy to find solutions. Let the ideas flow and you’d be surprised what you can accomplish under pressure.

Each new day brings the opportunity to reinvent or improve ourselves. We form our intentions, and we stick to them if we are passionate about it. Today, try out this resolution: be positive about the lessons you’re learning even when times get tough, think happy thoughts even on rainy days, and make amazing memories with those you care about.

During the darkest nights of your life, when the world seems cold and terrifying, know that there is genuine goodness and purity throughout nature. Like, sea otters hold paws when they sleep so that they don’t float away from each other! Also, cows have best buddies. Oh, and rats are ticklish and actually laugh when they are tickled. Plus, seahorses hold tails with their mates when they travel. Hold onto that sort of pure positivity for your grey days when you need to boost the natural sunshine into your soul.

Friends are incredible gifts. Like when you need to call a particular someone about an experience that was incredibly fantastic or unfortunate, your friends are the ones who listen. It is the gift of fits of giggles and inside jokes. Friendship can be easy, but sometimes it takes work, too. It’s speaking every day or a few times a year and being able to pick up where you left off. Friends come and go. Some stay with us for a lifetime, while others are only temporary. All are valuable and come into your life for a reason.

We humans are fascinated by immortality. While we won’t necessarily achieve immortality like the T. nutricula jellyfish that waffle back and forth from adulthood to infancy, humans can achieve some types of immortality. We live on through the people we touch when we are alive, the stories we tell, and create a legacy for all time.

Money can be earned, spent, and earned all over again. It has the potential to be ever flowing. Time, on the other hand, keeps on going. We don’t get time back. That’s why it is so important to live your life doing what you enjoy. Spend your time making great memories, not just making money.

You are given this life with a world of possibilities waiting for you. Grab opportunities and live with the intention to craft yourself into the person you most want to be. Make choices that you’ll be proud to talk about. Make memories that fill you with joy when you recall them. Make this life the best one you can live.

Pride tends to cause us more trouble than it’s worth. We like to believe we can go on not asking for help or relying on people, but it is so unbelievably important to know that there are times when you can’t reasonably achieve something on your own. It’s okay to put away your pride and ask for a helping hand.

Love, like life, can be bold, energizing, exciting, comfortable, intense, and beautiful. The love you choose to give out to the world and accept from the world is all yours. Live and love fearlessly and unapologetically.

There are times when we find ourselves falling into a pit and need help getting back out but refuse to ask for help out of fear of taking our dear ones down with us. Asking for a hand to help you climb out is not the same as dragging someone down with you.
