  • Moment 10-1-21

You can’t learn without making mistakes. You have to gloriously screw up a few times in order to level up. Success doesn’t come from giving up, it comes from messing up until you get it right. So, forgive yourself, learn, understand that it’s a process, and even if it takes 101 tries, don’t you dare give up after 99.

  • Moment 9-30-21

Our aspirations are worth fighting for. No matter the obstacles standing in your way, the setbacks, and the judgements from other people, when you truly desire to attain a goal those things aren’t worth fretting over. Keep going after your dreams.

  • Moment 9-29-21

You might not be where you thought you’d be at this point in your life. But, what if you actually are exactly where you are meant to be? Not that you are doomed to some inescapable fate, but that you’re growing and learning at the exact right pace for your soul. That means that you have to be right here, right now, going through this to get to the good stuff.

  • Moment 9-28-21

One of the hardest things to deal with on this life journey is the realization that you don’t really know “who” you are. You may know what you like and dislike, who you love, and what drives your soul, but struggle with defining yourself in a single phrase or sentence. Here’s the truth: you are beyond words. You are ever changing, constantly evolving into someone new. You are not a stationary object so you can’t be pinpointed to one version of yourself. You are growing every day and you are astonishing.

  • Moment 9-27-21

We all have that little voice inside of us, whispering. No, not our conscience — that voice is usually screaming in our heads, telling us NOT to do the thing. The whisper, though, is heard with the heart. It is our soul encouraging us to chase our passions. Listen to that whisper.

  • Moment 9-26-21

You are more than your mistakes. You are the laughter you bring to others, the goodness of a kind act, the hard work you’ve put into your life, and the beauty of an imperfect, ever-evolving soul. When darkness clouds your mind, it’s easy to ruminate on mistakes and mishaps. Part those clouds with the sunshine of knowledge that you are so much more than your mistakes, and SO much better for having made them and learned from them.

  • Moment 9-25-21

While it is important to never give up on your dreams, it is equally important to know when to step back for a bit. Taking a break and reassessing isn’t quitting. It’s strategizing.

  • Moment 9-24-21

Everything does not have to be okay all the time. There will be bad days. There will be tough times. Want to know something else? You’ll get through and come out the other side of the hurricanes and volcanic eruptions. You can be as strong as the Earth is old. Don’t sell yourself short.

  • Moment 9-23-21

There will be moments when you feel weak, helpless, hopeless. That’s part of the human experience. What we do with these moments is up to us. Let’s not allow them to keep us down. Stand up. Remember that you are strong and this is only a moment of weakness in a lifetime of proven strength. You’ve Got This.

  • Moment 9-22-21

Three things. Think of three things that bring you joy. Say them in your head. You see, whenever you’re stressed or need to go to your happy place, you can repeat those three words to bring yourself a little joy and some grounding. Sometimes three little things can make a huge difference. One, Two…Go!

  • Moment 9-21-21

It is okay to just survive. While you could take a little time to organize the drawers or learn a new language, that isn’t for everyone. Surviving now means thriving later. Surviving the moment, each one as it comes, means being able to triumph when the time is right for you. Don’t compare your experience to that of someone else or what is right for them. Do what you can, of course, but don’t feel guilty if all you’re doing is focusing on getting by… because whatever you are doing for you is enough.

  • Moment 9-20-21

If the dragon looks too big for you to slay, maybe you aren’t actually supposed to be slaying it. Wait, what? Mmmmhmmm. Maybe you are supposed to learn from it. Study it. Understand it. Look at it from a different perspective. Make peace with it. Sure, sometimes standing up with your imaginary sword in a metaphor like this is needed. But sometimes we miss important growth and wisdom when we react first and ask questions later.
