Once we learn to accept the darkest, morbid, (and dare I say) sinful, parts of ourselves, we can then work on figuring out how to bring them to light and raise that vibe. But first we must acknowledge that there is a darkness within us. To know your dark side is to know yourself… and that is never a bad thing.

We’re taught to push it under loads of responsibilities and harsh reality. Yet, so much can be accomplished, discovered, and developed when people — regardless of age — utilize their imaginations. Unbury your creativity!

    You are the game master behind your greatest triumphs and hardest setbacks. Every great checkpoint you reach is yours to celebrate. Likewise, every error and glitch is yours to claim as well. Know that you, the creator of your storyline, have the ability to take control of the good and the bad that you put out into the world. Game on.

    Burnout happens when we work too hard and don’t play at all. Recess isn’t just for kids! Schedule fun into your daily to-do list to protect yourself from burning out due to the stresses of the daily grind. Get out there and swing on those figurative (or literal) monkey bars.

Other times we start on a path and it gets rocky and steep so we want to turn back, but retracing our steps isn’t an option.     Sometimes we get so wrapped up waiting for a good thing to come along that we let life pass us by. We fear that if we live our lives, we’ll miss the opportunity we’ve been waiting for. The thing is, opportunities come to us even when we’re living life — especially when we’re living life. Don’t stagnate your life away. Live it up!

    A broken heart can inflict unimaginable emotional pain, forcing us to self-reflect and analyze our core traits. It is perhaps the most unpleasant type of transformation any human can undergo, but in the end we’ll come out of the storm, more aware of ourselves and mindful, blossoming like tulips in the spring.

    You may not know it, but to someone, you are ice cold lemonade on a hot summer day, spring rain that nurtures budding flowers, hot chocolate on a frozen winter night, and the crunch of autumn leaves on a chilly afternoon. To someone, you are all the wonderful things in the world.

    You’re allowed to have bad days, to feel sad or overwhelmed or exhausted. The important thing is to not beat yourself up for having bad days. Negativity does not heal negative feelings. Bad days happen and that’s okay — you have another, amazing chance tomorrow.
