    Any mountain climber who has made it to the peak of Mount Everest will tell you that hitting that summit required time, training, blood, sweat, and possibly some frostbite. They’ll also tell you it was worth enduring all of that. Climbing your own personal issues that look like Mount Everest to you will likely feel the same, all the way to the absolute satisfaction and glee of getting to the peak. Don’t give up.

    What does being an alpha mean? Usually, as far as people go, it’s the leader of a pack of bullies, whether they are in high school or running a corporate office. Calling this type of person an alpha is actually pretty disrespectful to nature, though. A true alpha is a leader who is charismatic, empathetic, confident, and tends to the needs of their group. Let’s respect nature and redefine what an alpha is in human society — and then strive to be that if we’re called to lead.

    Even the smallest mountain cannot be moved at its whole. It is through time and patience that, bit by bit, pieces can be removed until finally the entire mountain is gone. You can move your mountain, just don’t try to pick up the whole thing at once. Break your problems down to their bits and then you can haul them away.

    We cannot force other people to change, but we can create change within ourselves. We can work each day toward improving our human decency, kindness and tenderness towards the world. Perhaps changing ourselves for the better will inspire others to do the same. You never know the impact your actions will have on someone else.

    Doubt is the destroyer of achievable dreams. There is much we can accomplish, but doubt swoops in like the ultimate villain and stops us before we muster the courage to try. If we never try, we can never succeed. Cast out your doubts and do the things you desire. There is no failing… there are only moments that make you more ready to succeed next time. Don’t let the villainous doubt win.

    We all carry with us prejudices — bias and judgment built into our minds. Whether or not we act on these prejudices is up to us, though. Truly, we have the power to choose our reactions. We also have the ability to work towards destroying our preconceptions. Mindfulness and compassion helps us with the effort to achieve our spiritual and intellectual evolution.

    What people say in anger may seem like truth, but we must remember that the enraged are merely spouting out something that can rouse a reaction of pain, rather than how they truly feel. See their words as the poison daggers that they are — and do not be stabbed by them. Your health and happiness will appreciate it, and forgiveness to ease your heart will come far more easily.

    Let us never assume that we know everything we need to know. This world is vast with knowledge and we would be robbing ourselves from precious gems if we ceased the search for enlightenment. Do not stop thirsting for learning. There are so many fascinating things you’ve yet to meet.

    There are times when exhaustion takes over us. Though our bodies may not be tired, our souls are. Without stimulation through passions, our souls can become weary. When such a drowsiness takes over, do something that excites your soul, even if only for a few minutes. You might just find that it helps you regain your fire.

    As children, our bodies experience growing pains. As we get older, we experience growing pains of a different kind. We grow as we become better people, but the experience isn’t without ache. Every trial we go through helps our soul get to a more mature state of being. Though these trials of growth are often painful, they are worth it.

    Our ambitions give us dreams to chase, and sometimes our dreams provide us with new ambitions. Life will never be dull when you spend it chasing your passions and following your dreams. Live with your eyes on the stars and your heart full of hopes.

    From ashes, the Phoenix is born and reborn. Some things must burn to ash in order to for something greater to built from the remnants. A more beautiful and amazing potential is waiting to rise from the burning embers of what once was.
