Feeling deeply is okay. Talking about your feels is even better. As kids, we’re often told not to cry, not to be mad, and to hold it all in. We’re conditioned to seem like we’ve got it all together… when, in fact, we often don’t. It is time for a soul RE-conditioning, Friend. You will be better at keeping it all together if you let stuff out in a mindful way. Quit sucking it up and blow it out instead.

Moment 4-23-21
Sometimes when people like you want to grow, they start to feel guilty when they are mad, sad, stressed out, disgusted, or whatever. As if growth means that you shouldn’t feel those things any more and that you must not be all that evolved. Pffft. All this growth will make you more aware of your feelings and why you feel them, but don’t drop the guilt bomb on yourself for it. You’re still a human with a human brain and all that goes along with that. It is healthy to feel — so let the wisdom you’ve gained help you bounce back from the darker stuff faster rather than punish yourself for it.

Moment 4-22-21
You might think that once you get on the right path that everything will finally be perfect. See, “perfect” doesn’t matter — and that puts pressure on you that you really don’t need. Your purpose is to be doing the things that call to you — with your own beautiful, imperfect magesty. No perfection necessary.

Moment 4-21-21
Normal is such a dull concept. Really. The only thing normal about anyone is that nobody is really all that normal without having to put in a buttload of effort to look like they are. Every person is a unique vessel with an even more unique soul. Striving to be more normal isn’t something anyone ever does for themselves — it is always done for perception. Yuck. Your beauty is in your uniqueness, your weirdness, your quirks, your authentic spirit.

Moment 4-20-21
It’s time to give up. That’s right. You should just quit already. Quit being so hard on yourself. Give up listening to that little, irritating voice in your noggin that says you aren’t good enough. Stop bothering with all that doubting yourself nonsense. Go cold turkey from that self-sabotage. What are you waiting for? Hmmm?

Weeds or wildflowers? Tiny monsters with stingers or adorable pollinators? A storm that dampens your day or a spring rain that gives life to sprouting plants? Perspective has an incredible impact on our happiness. When we learn to find beauty and goodness in the things that aren’t conventionally beautiful, we win.

Eat yummy food. Play heartfelt music. Wear silly hats. Pet dogs and cats and chinchillas. Walk with an ornate staff if you’re moved to do so, and speak in Pig Latin when appropriate. Let your inner child out to play. You may find that it feels both courageous and wild to be free to be simply and uniquely you.

Moment 4-17-21
Stay. Don’t give up. Stay… if only to prove them wrong. Stay… because you don’t yet know what tomorrow will bring. Stay… because you’re worth it, even if you don’t feel that way today.

Moment 4-16-21
You’re on your way at your own pace and that’s perfectly great. Keep chugging along as you are and you’ll get to where you’re going at just the right time. For now, know that you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Moment 4-15-21
You are not amazing like other people — and that’s okay. You’re amazing like you, and that is far more impressive than a thousand look-alike beauty queens and kings, my dear. Keep being beautifully, amazingly you.

Moment 4-14-21
What can you learn from that thing that you’re going through? How can it help you level up as a human tomorrow, next week, or next year? There’s often a sliver of shiny stuff in troubles that can help us shift our focus, even if it’s after-the-fact, to how hard-won wisdom makes us even better.

Moment 4-13-21
There will always be critics. If you’re doing the best you can with what you have, and people still insist on slinging their slime in your direction, let it slide right off your face like you’re a well-greased skillet. No one is in your shoes but you, and you know how to wear them better than anyone else.
