The only difference between you and a star is the way your molecules are combined. Your shine and your light is every bit as important as the Sun. Or Proxima Centauri. So — go be the fabulous thing you are!

Moment 4-11-21
Building someone up today with a single compliment will absolutely have side effects. They may include feeling warm and tingly inside, a delightful desire to make a difference, and joy at seeing that you put a twinkle in someone’s eye.

Moment 4-10-21
Hurtful words aren’t worth a thing. They’re like sticky tar and can really hold you back. So, if someone tosses a few out at you, duck, dance around them, or let them slide right on by. Be like the dish detergent that cuts grease and washes geese.

Moment 4-9-21
Broken people are the best. Seriously. While you might think that broken or damaged is less than, think again. If you’ve been through the wringer, beat up, punched down, and busted in the eye, you have more wisdom, knowledge and, yes, value, to bring to the table than someone who hasn’t had to put their bits back together.

Moment 4-8-21
Regrets? Guilt? That only means you’re a better person today than when you made a mistake or a choice that makes you now feel like you screwed it all up. You’re growing. You’re changing. You’re becoming more aware and more amazing each day — and THAT is something to be celebrated.

Moment 4-7-21
Wisdom rarely comes from choosing the right path all the time. Instead, it comes from taking shortcuts and going offroad — sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose — and learning from these detours. Do it in your own time and your own way.

Moment 4-6-21
What if you aren’t actually slipping backwards? Perhaps you’re really just backing up to get a running start!
-
Moment 4-5-21
Look at you! You’re starting to remember that you have it in you. That you can beat up any odds that might be stacked against you. Now, now… don’t say you’re not much. You might not be ready to say how amazing you are out loud, but if you start with just a next-to-silent whisper, that’s some serious progress. You’re breathtaking.

Moment 4-4-21
Can’t dance? Jiggle. Can’t jiggle? Wiggle your nose until it’s itchy, and then laugh at how weird it is that nose wiggles cause itchies. Take a little time to not be sooo serious. Most everyone’s eyes are the same ones they had when they were kids… even once they don’t work so well. Even if you only have one left. So, there’s probably no reason that you can’t see things the way you did when you still had the magic and joy and wonder of a babe.

Moment 4-3-21
Pick it up. Brush it off. Spit on it. Shine it with your shirt sleeve. Put a name tag and a sticker on it. It is your life, and you are completely in the right to clean it up and make it shine.

Moment 4-2-21
It’s okay to be sad. It’s perfectly human to cry (Looking at you. Yes, YOU!). It’s totally acceptable to get ticked off and shake your fist at the sky. We have to feel those things to get them out. We don’t want to unpack and live there, obviously, becoming chronically unhappy — but the best way to avoid that is to let yourself feel the gook and not hold it all inside. It’s normal and healthy to have a whole range of crazy-mixed up-gross feelings and then be able to come full circle to joy again.

Moment 4-1-21
Remember that time you thought all hope was lost? That your heart would never heal? Well, here you still are. Living, breathing, making it through every day like the epic survival-skilled boss you are. Everyone’s secretly in awe over how you keep going. You should be, too — you glorious, resilient thing, you!
